Beginner Pinterest Marketing Funnel – how does it grow your business?
Pinterest will drive traffic to your website, but you need a funnel in place to maximise the value of that traffic.
A funnel is basically a fancy way of saying the journey you take your customers on to get them from not knowing anything about you, to buying from you.
There are various funnels from beginner to more advanced strategies you can use with Pinterest, including directing people to sales pages, evergreen webinars, mini upsells and email list opt in pages.
I would recommend that you use your funnel to build your email list.
Once they are on your list you get the opportunity to interact with them through your nurture sequence and regular emails. This can quickly build the trust between you and your audience, making them loyal fans ready to buy from you.
So what are the key steps in your profitable Pinterest funnel?
Step 1: Audience searches
Your target market search on Pinterest for an answer to a problem or for inspiration in a particular area e.g. How do I become a coach? How do I build a brand for my business?
Step 2: Your pin shown in search results
Your pin is then returned in the search results as your keywords match the keywords they are searching for (this is about training the Pinterest algorithm to return your pins to the right people and for the right searches)
Step 3: Ideal clients click on pin
They see your pin in the search results and they click on it as we have optimised it for user experience. They land on the page of your website that your pin was linked to (most likely a blog post)
Step 4: Optimised and valuable content
You optimise your blog post to encourage them to get your freebie/opt. You can also use timed or scroll activated pop ups and announcement bars to get them to opt in.
Step 5: Opt in to your email list
They enter their email list, receive your freebie and enter your email list.
Step 6: You nurture them
They get a well-crafted nurture sequence which builds the know, love and trust factor.
Step 7: Make sales
You get multiple opportunities to add value, nurture them and make sales by emailing them regularly.
