Madam C J Walker was an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political and social activist who defied the racial and gender constraints of her time to become the wealthiest self-made woman in America and wealthiest African-American businesswoman in 1919 when she died.
She pioneered the mass selling and distribution of her line of hair care products despite huge barriers.
Like you she had a strong vision for what she wanted to create that was so much bigger than her product. She wanted to create well paid employment opportunities for women and she went on to establish a network of sellers across the US.
She didn’t stop at just selling her haircare products at her local market, she saw the potential to break through to the next level by developing a scalable business model. She took the quantum leap.

Take the time to really listen to your audience, understand where they are when they come to you. Then look at where they want to get to, what is the transformation that they want? Your product offerings act as a bridge from where they are to where they want to get to.
Taking this approach will ensure your customers needs and wants are at the centre of everything you create – hello sell out offers.
Questions to help you figure out what your scalable offers should be:
My clients were coming to me having lost their confidence that they could ever break through to the next level in their business. They were making random sales here and there but never felt certain of where their next clients were coming from and how they could grow their income as they were already working all the hours.
They wanted to have more space in their business, they wanted to create automation and funnels so that they could generate sales when they were not working directly with clients. They wanted to scale their income and impact.
My role in their transformation is to support them with designing, creating and launching their next offer to a community of loyal fans ready to buy.
It’s not glamorous but setting up routines and boundaries will serve you as you grow and scale your business. As a quantum leaper your audience needs consistency, you need boundaries and your business needs momentum.
I’m not going to tell you what they should be (I know, I know it’s annoying of me). You need to design something that works for you otherwise you won’t be consistent with them and we are back to square one.
Questions to think about:
My routines include time blocking, I work in 45 minute bursts with short breaks in between. I also batch tasks quite a lot so I can get into the flow of the work e.g. I batch my SEO research for my content. My non negotiables everyday are a morning walk, an hour for lunch and finishing by 5pm latest. If timezones mean I have to have a late call, then I start work later the next day.
Building a business means you’ll be doing things outside your comfort zone on the daily and feeling the doubts and worries that go along with that. So this step is about setting yourself up for success.
Nurturing a strong mindset is a lifelong journey but in your quantum leaper stage start to really see yourself as a leader and nurture a growth mindset.

The future version of me who is the CEO of my thriving business is resilient, makes quick and strong decisions and has a really strong sense of where she is going and what she is creating. She shows up in full energy knowing that she is serving her clients with her expertise. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it. I have developed the habit of tuning into the version of myself when I make decisions. I have also prioritised my exercise and health as I know that I am the vehicle to my own success.
