It’s your time to become the leader of your business. Incredible growth in your business is just around the corner, you just need to usher it in, get excited.
You’ve been at this entrepreneur thing a while. You’ve officially joined the consistent income club. Now it’s time to sort out the chaotic behind the scenes and feel like you’re fully in control of your business and your time.
You’re in the right place, let me use my weirdly strategic creative whizardy combo to help you truly scale your business. Little hint, it’s all about creating the systems, funnels and processes to support you as you step into the role of CEO.
Brilliance: You never settle and are never mediocre. As a leader you know you are meant for more than average and you confidently tread the path to your goals. You never apologise for the space you take in the world and happily stand out from the crowd.
Vision: You are so fired up by the bigger vision behind what you are doing and are ready to create a legacy with your business. You are ready to have that big impact that you dreamt of when your business was just a twinkle in your eye. Impact is your middle name (mine’s Stewart – true story, ask me about it one day!)
Determination: You are determined that this year is your year to really step aside and let your business grow with you as the leader. No more waiting, no more procrasticleaning (it’s a real thing!), no more waiting for someone to tell you what to do.
Your Success Inspiration Is….
Sara was trugging door to door selling fax machines when she came up with the idea for Spanx. She scraped together $5000 to launch and grew it to a billion dollar company, becoming the youngest self-made billionaire in history.
She had the challenge of trying to scale a business and keep it true to her original vision. She says the key is to be “very authentic in your message, stay vulnerable, be yourself through the process.”
So what are you deciding today?
Now that you’re all in, let’s learn how to harness your natural talents so you can truly scale your business and have the time and money freedom you craved when you started this crazy entrepreneurial journey.
It’s all about stepping up and embodying the role of CEO and supporting your business to catch up with all the growth you’ve had. It’s all about working less without your business stalling.
You don’t need to get bogged down with all the details and the day to day operations.
You have permission to focus on sexy systems, hiring team members, becoming the true leader and visionary in your business. Basically anything that removes you as a bottleneck in your business.
You’ve likely been doing all the things, working all the hours and dare I say it hustling a bit to get to this point. Now it’s time to really look to the future of your business. You want to be doing business in a way that’s sustainable, so that you can show up in full energy and passion for your clients.
A huge part of scaling is realising that unless you hire people to support you in your vision, you will become a huge bottle neck and constrain the growth of your business. This was a big mindset shift for me when I realised that I don’t need to do everything in my business.
I like to take my clients through the steps below to help them hire the right people for their business:
How to work out what tasks to outsource:
In order to step into the role of leader and really scale your business you need to start seeing your business baby as a proper organisation with you at the centre.
One step I work through with my clients to support them with this is to create an old school organisational chart for their businesses. This is not about hierarchy, it is about identifying specific distinct roles and functions within the business so you can build teams to support in those areas.
Creating an organisational structure chart:
Scaling your business will mean you’re doing things outside your comfort zone on the daily and feeling the doubts and worries that go along with that. So this step is about getting comfortable with challenging yourself.
But you still feel like you’re ‘playing’ at being an entrepreneur. You wish you felt as confident inside as you portray on the outside.
Nurturing a strong mindset is a lifelong journey but in your Scaler stage it’s about feeling confident enough to push for the big goals even if you don’t have a scooby how you’ll achieve them.
It’s also about being a motivational leader who is able to rally your team around your mission. Ask yourself:
The future version of me who is the CEO of my thriving business is resilient, has a strong mission which she powerfully communicates to her team and gets them on board . She shows up in full energy, supporting her team to excel in their roles. She leads from the front and by example, continually working on and improving herself. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it.
I have developed the habit of tuning into this version of myself when I make decisions.
